Paul later listed as "of Norrieston Moss-side & tenant of Murdiestoun." On 15 June 1830 Paul sasined a part of the lands of Easter Boquhapple called the Easter and Wester Moss Side of Norrieston with the piece of ground called the Molland and the Moss belonging to the lands of Norrieston, on disposition of James McGibbon of Greenyards on 23 Jan 1822, recorded 16 June 1830 in Perth.
In the 1837 voter's registers Paul is listed of Mosside. In 1841 Paul was living with his daughter, Janet, and her husband, James McArthur, at Meadowhead.
Paul died in 1844; his son, Andrew, was heir. His testament was recorded 18 Nov 1844 in the Dunblane Sheriff Court.
John and Janet's oldest son, John Paterson, married Jean Doig.

On 13 Nov 1844 Andrew received £300 and his father's lands, a part of the lands of Easter Boquhapple commonly called Norrieston on the south side of the Water of Goodie, commonly called the Easter and Wester Moss Sides of Norrieston, with the piece of ground called the Molland and the Moss belonging to the lands of Norrieston, recorded 26 Nov 1844 in Perth. He served as heir to his father to these lands on 7 June 1845, recorded 18 June 1845.

In 1851 Agnes lived with her three sons on the 70 acres of the Mill of Goody in Kilmadock. In 1861 Paul Doig farmed the 83 imperial acres at Mosside, Mill of Goodie, with his mother, brother Andrew, Agnes' unmarried sister Elizabeth Anderson, and two servants. In 1871 she lived in Kincardinde parish, Perth with her sons Paul and Andrew. In 1881 she lived with her son, Andrew, at Wester Boquhapple.

In 1851 and 1861 Paul was farming the 83 imperial acres at Mosside, Mill of Goodie, with his mother, brother Andrew, unmarried aunt Elizabeth Anderson, born 1815/6 in Kilmadock, and two servants. In 1866 Paul's uncle, John Doig (K009), died, and he inherited the 29 acres (10 merks) at Wester Boquhapple near Thornhill. The document was dated 13 Apr 1867 and recorded 15 Apr 1867. At the time Paul was living in Cambusbarron near Stirling. Paul's brother, Andrew, was his heir.

Notes: Andrew was heir general to his brother Paul's lands of Wester Boquhapple, dated 28 July 1876 and recorded 6 Oct 1876. In 1881, 1891 and 1901 he farmed 60 acres at Wester Boquhapple; his mother lived with him until her death in 1890. He was known as a bit of an astronomer. Andrew did not marry. An extract of Andrew's testament reads: Andrew Doig, Main Street, Thornhill, Perthshire, died 15 December 1911, at Thornhill aforesaid, intestate. Confirmation granted at Dunblane, 2 February 1912, to John Doig, Low Town, Thornhill aforesaid, Executor dative qua next of kin. Value of Estate, £723, 13s. 3d.

Witnesses at Paul's christening were John Doig and Andrew Doig at Murdockstoun.
Paul was a major in the militia at Stirling Castle. He arrived in New York on the ship "Camillas" on 9 May 1827, and on to Jamaica by 1830. He returned to Scotland, as he is listed as a tenant of Murdieston Farm in the 1832 Registry of Voters. Paul went to Canada with the Bell family in 1836. In 1838 he served as a Captain in the infantry with the government troops against the French revolutionary Papineau. Paul is said to have given the command to fire the cannon on St. Eustache R.C. Church where the rebels were stationed; the marks may be seen on the tower of the church, which was reconstructed after the rebellion.
Paul bought a 600 acre farm in Hay Township in the London District of Canada, recorded 14 Nov 1836; the property was disposed of on 12 Apr 1860. He found the climate too cold, so he returned to Jamaica by late 1838. He settled in Trelawny Parish in the County of Cornwall, where in the 1840 directory he is listed with 50 acres. Paul served as an officer in the Trelawny Regiment in Jamaica.
Paul is not know to have married, but he did form a liaison with some local women, notably Mary Reid. He had children by her, and at least one other woman.
Paul's will was dated 14 Mar 1840. In this instrument
he named seven "reputed" children of his. Two more children were born after
1840. Paul died in 1845 in Jamaica, and his will was "entered" on 22 Apr 1846
and recorded 24 Feb 1847 in the Edinburgh Sheriff Court. His will was probated
on 18 Jan 1847 in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, England.

Note: A Paul Doig, gentleman, residing in Cornwall Co., Jamaica witnessed a deed of John Hewan of Orangehill, Jamaica on 24 Apr 1815. This may be the above Paul, although it seems a bit early.

Witnesses at Robert's christening were William Maxwell [William married Janet Doig in 1801 in Kilmadock.] and Peter of Brummore.
Robert is listed as a farmer of Easter Murdochston in the 1837 Registry of Voters, but he had left by that time. He came with his family, brothers John and Paul and sister Margaret (Doig) Bell (K306) to Canada in 1836. Robert had returned to Scotland by 1839. In 1841 the family lived on Murdieston Farm, Kilmadock, with Alexander McLaren.
Robert Doeg departed Glasgow on the ship "Superb" and arrived in New York on 24 May 1843 with his children Isabella, Janet, Paul, and John. His wife Margaret must have come on another ship.
In 1848, 1851, 1861, 1871, and 1881 he farmed in Hay Township, Huron Co., Ontario, Canada.
