Andrew was a manufacturer in Dundee. On 27 Sept 1792 he served privelege to his spouse Margaret Nicoll, daughter of Alexander Nicoll, merchant burgess [Lockit Book of Dundee]. In 1804 he was a weaver in Leith. In 1807 he was a grocer on Bath Street, South Leith. Andrew died at age 60 and was buried in the Weaver's Ground, 20 paces from the north door of the church.
[There was probably a son Alexander named after his grandfather born about 1794 or in the gap between 1797 to 1805.]

On the west side a cherub and inscription: In Floure of Youth My Virtuis Spous Was Called from Me below but hopes She's now Espousd to Christ And freed from All wo.
