This was given "in favor of George Hair Newall and Patrick Watson both merchants in Dundee, John Henderson accountant to the National Bank of Scotland at Dundee, Thomas Doig my son, and John Whittet commercial traveler now in Edinburgh my son-in-law..." He names his spouse as Margaret Ramsay and children Catherine, Thomas, Isabella, and Elizabeth. The tax stamp was 280 pounds.
